President, Health Care & Education Address—50 Years of Behavioral Science in Diabetes—A 2020 Vision of the Future

As ADA President of Health Care & Education, Mary de Groot, PhD, will explore what comes next in her address, “50 Years of Behavioral Science in Diabetes—A 2020 Vision of the Future.” A member of ADA since 2017, Dr. de Groot is a clinical health psychologist. The focus of her research is on the mechanisms that link diabetes and depression, and the development of accessible interventions to treat depression among adults and socioeconomically and culturally diverse populations with diabetes. She is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Acting Director of the Diabetes Translations Research Center at Indiana University.
