Alongside a comprehensive and cutting-edge educational program, the 82nd Scientific Sessions in New Orleans, LA, will offer attendees a variety of opportunities to engage, interact, and network with speakers, exhibitors, and one another.

“Some of the best parts of attending the Scientific Sessions are the opportunities to connect with colleagues, to engage in lively debate, and to initiate meaningful collaborations,” said Marlon Pragnell, PhD, ADA Vice President of Research and Science.

In addition to official events—such as the ADA Networking Reception on Friday evening, June 3, at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center—the program schedule includes dedicated session breaks on Sunday and Monday, June 5 and 6. Dr. Pragnell encourages attendees to use these times to visit the Poster and Exhibit Halls, which provide great opportunities to interact with industry representatives, poster presenters, as well as fellow attendees.

Importantly, he said the return to an in-person meeting means a return to the kind of organic networking and spontaneous discussions that invigorate the field, stimulate professional growth, and enhance the Scientific Sessions experience.

“It’s the serendipitous hallway conversations, the chance meetings in between sessions, and the many official networking events that fuel the discovery process and accelerate our progress toward helping people better manage, cure, and prevent diabetes,” Dr. Pragnell said.

While all sessions will be presented live in-person in New Orleans, those who are unable to travel can attend virtually and enjoy four livestreamed channels of featured presentations with the remainder available on demand within one day of the live presentation.

Registration for the 82nd Scientific Sessions should be completed via the ADA’s secure online registration portal, which features special pricing for three categories of attendees: ADA members, non-members, and students/residents/fellows.
