Innovation, collaboration, and raising public awareness about the importance of good health will be showcased in special events taking place Saturday, June 22, as part of the 84th Scientific Sessions.
Innovation Challenge—Hear emerging companies in the field of diabetes research pitch novel ideas for overcoming the everyday challenges faced by people living with diabetes, their families, and caregivers. In the Innovation Challenge, startups compete for the opportunity to receive financial support for their business and showcase their work to a panel of expert judges and an audience of professionals in the field—including primary care doctors, researchers, nurses, pharmacists, diabetes educators, endocrinologists, pharmaceutical industry leaders, and more. The competition will take place on Saturday from 4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. in West Hall B3-4 (General Session).
Exhibit Hall—Visit the Exhibit Hall, WA1-WA3 (Level 2), to engage with industry representatives and enhance your understanding of the latest advances in pharmaceuticals, devices, imaging, and services important to high-quality patient care. It also includes the Exhibit Hall Immersive Experience in Early-Stage Type 1 Diabetes, a virtual reality experience that conveys strategies for type 1 diabetes screening and optimizing long-term disease management. The Exhibit Hall is open 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Poster Hall & ePosters—Browse an impressive collection of posters showcasing the science of diabetes. The Poster Hall will be open from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Saturday in WA4-WB2 (Level 2). Poster presenters will be available for discussion at their poster boards during the General Poster Session from 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. All Late Breaking posters, regardless of category, will be presented on Saturday during the General Poster Session. Computer kiosks are located within the Poster Hall for electronic poster viewing.
