What is your presentation about?
The recently published, updated, inter-society guidelines on hyperlipidemia recommend the use of imaging to help identify lipid-lowering goals. We will review the various modalities that can be utilized to help stratify cardiovascular risk in individual patients.
How do you hope your presentation will impact diabetes research or care?
I hope that this information will motivate clinicians to use testing to better elucidate cardiovascular risk and subsequently improve risk factor goals in individual patients.
How did you become involved with this area of diabetes research or care?
I am a cardiologist who is passionate about primary prevention in patients to decrease their risk of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality.
