What Do We Know about the Effects of Antihyperglycemic Medication on Heart Failure?

I will give a comprehensive overview of what we know about glucose-lowering therapy, and in the prevention of heart failure and in the treatment of heart failure, reviewing what we know about insulin, sulfonylureas, DPP-4 inhibitors, GLP-1 receptor agonists, and the exciting new evidence on SGLT2 inhibitors, including the DAPA-HF trial. I will also preview ongoing trials that will soon add to our evidence base in this area.
