What is your presentation about?
Practical Approaches to Insulin Dose Adjustments While on Closed Loop will be reviewed with an emphasis on how we can help our patients with diabetes and their families optimize outcomes with new diabetes technology. Aims will also be to translate practical approaches to those less familiar with diabetes technology.

What makes this topic important in 2022?
This session will highlight practical approaches to automated insulin delivery systems which have translated from research to clinic and soon to be standard of care in type 1 diabetes.

How did you become involved with this area of diabetes research or care?
I had the good fortune to have the opportunity to work with pioneers in this field including Drs. Peter Chase, Darrell Wilson, and Bruce Buckingham, among others, in early stage clinical research on diabetes technology and now focus on successful translation of these systems to clinical practice to improve outcomes and reduce disparities.

What are you most looking forward to at the 82nd Scientific Sessions?
Seeing colleagues again and attending the Scientific Sessions in person!
