6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Friday, June 7
Join us Friday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on the Level 2 Foyer of the West Building for a networking reception. Enjoy complimentary beverages and hors d’oeuvres from a sampling of recipes from the ADA’s award winning cookbooks while catching up with your colleagues from around the world. In addition, Chef Ronaldo Linares will share healthy cooking tips and prepare some of his favorite recipes! Chef Ronaldo is the author of the ADA cookbook Sabores de Cuba: Diabetes-Friendly Traditional and Nueva Cubana Cuisine.
Women’s Interprofessional Network of the American Diabetes Association (WIN ADA) Reception
6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Friday, June 7
Network with and support women in diabetes research, care, and education at the WIN ADA Reception on Friday evening. This reception will be held on the Level 3 Foyer of the West Building. The WIN ADA Abstract Awards and Lois Jovanovic Transformative Woman in Diabetes Award will be presented during this event, and light refreshments will be provided. Register here.
5K@ADA Fun Run/Walk at Pier 32
6:30 a.m. – 7:15 a.m. Sunday, June 9
This fun event gives you the opportunity to raise public awareness about the importance of a healthy lifestyle. On-site registration opens at 6:00 a.m. Sunday and warm-up begins at 6:15 a.m. The race will begin promptly at 6:30 a.m. Limited shuttle bus service will be provided for the event. Support the ADA by Wearing Red on Sunday, June 9
Wear Red on Sunday to show your support for the ADA’s mission to prevent and cure diabetes, and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes. If you forget to pack something red, merchandise will be available for purchase on-site at the Shop Diabetes Store. Every purchase supports diabetes research, advocacy, awareness, and education programs.
